An aerial survey conducted by volunteer general aviation pilot Donn Wimmer revealed that additional straight line wind damage occurred about 1.5 miles ENE or about 3 miles WSW of the previously survey EF-2 tornado that touched down in Edmonson county on April 25th, 2015. Aerial photos obtained from the survey and radar analysis revealed that the 20 to 30 mostly uprooted hardwood trees were downed by straight line winds estimated at 70 mph. The aerial photos show the trees laying in a divergent pattern which is indicative of straight line wind damage. Below is the photo.

Below is a radar image that shows a rear inflow jet that caused the straight line winds. This feature was to the south of the briefly tornadic circulation that went on to cause the EF-2 touchdown a few minutes later. Donn's flight also confirmed the start and end points of the previously surveyed EF-2.

Thanks to pilot Donn Wimmer and his Cessna 172 (out of Hancock County Airport) for their volunteer aerial damage survey! Additional thanks go to Landon Hampton of WxorNot in Bowling Green, KY for alerting the NWS of this damage and providing pictures/video.
