Indiana University Southeast in New Albany was recognized today as a StormReady University. IUS becomes the 7th StormReady University in the state of Indiana, and the second IU regional campus to gain this recognition. The recent growth of the university, with the addition of five residence halls in 2008, poses unique challenges in public safety. The Campus Police Department, and IU Emergency Management, have met those challenges with a proactive Adverse Weather Plan and by building a partnership with the National Weather Service in Louisville.
