Fall Weather Pattern Arrives

Rain and much cooler temperatures behind a cold front will bring a feeling of fall to the east coast today. In addition, an active fall storm pattern developing in the Pacific Northwest this week will bring areas of heavy rains, and very high elevations could receive heavy snow. The National Weather Service Office in St. Louis has the responsibility of maintaining a 24 hour weather watch over an area that stretches from central Missouri to near the Iowa border, east into west central Illinois, and into portions of southeast Missouri.  The area includes 29 counties in Missouri and 17 in Illinois.
