1885: A tornado causing F3 damage moved through Pike and Brown counties in Illinois. It unroofed a house on the S edge of New Salem, but luckily only 2 people were injured.

1911: Columbia set a then record high of 82 degrees. Later in the day a cold front passed and the temperature dropped 69 degrees to set a then record low of 13 degrees all in the same day.

1912: A tornado causing F2 damage moved through Randolph county (IL). Fourteen homes were damaged and a few were unroofed.

1988: A tornado outbreak produces 4 separate tornadoes that cause F2 and F3 damage in St. Charles county in Missouri and Greene, St. Clair, and Madison counties in Illinois. The outbreak was responsible for 10 injuries.

1892: A tornado causing F3 damage in Randolph county (IL) formed 10 miles WSW of Red Bud and moved ENE. About 80 buildings were damaged or destroyed, including 43 homes. A mother and child were killed, and a total of 7 were injured by this tornado.

Day25...

1908: A tornado causing F2 damage was reported in Randolph county (IL).. Houses were overturned, a barn was destroyed and livestock animals were killed. A total of 3 injured occurred.

1996: Freezing rain began in central Missouri around midday and spread east into the afternoon and evening hours. Roads quickly became ice covered resulting in numerous traffic accidents across the region. At least 2 deaths resulted from the accidents.
