Thursday will once again be warm as highs reach into the upper 70s and upper 80s to 90. Winds will pick up out of the west as a cold front approaches from the north. Wind gusts over 50 mph will be possible across the Caprock. This will elevate fire weather danger and bring blowing dust to the region.
Sunday morning will be the coldest day in many weeks as temps could get down to the low 30s across the southwestern Texas Panhandle. Even if temps stay just above freezing a covering of frost will be possible.
