Scattered thunderstorms will gradually fade through the evening hours. The strongest storms will be capable of producing brief heavy rain and gusty outflow winds. Lows tonight will be in the 60s and 70s.
Upper level ridging will provide hot weather for the rest of the week while also tending to limit storm chances. A front sagging in from the north may increase storm chances from northeast New Mexico into the Panhandle the second half of the week, though further south storm chances will decrease quickly.
