Saturday morning temperatures as a much cooler airmass moves into the region will be felt across the state with low temperatures varying from the mid 40s to mid 50s.
A mixture of mostly overcast skies and rain-cooled air will keep temperatures from making much progress on Saturday afternoon. High temperatures are expected to vary from the mid 50s to mid 60s across the state.
On this day in 1983, snow flurries fell in portions of central and southern Arkansas. Arctic high pressure followed behind the cold front plummeting temperatures into the 20s and 30s across much of the state.
