Active weather is in the forecast for the remainder of the week, where four of the next six days could bring chances for severe weather. Severe thunderstorms, tornadoes, heavy rain, and flooding are all concerns.
Heavy rainfall is anticipated with the coming storm systems. This could lead to flash flooding from some of the stronger thunderstorms, and possible river flooding.
There is an enhanced risk of severe storms across much of Arkansas on Wednesday. This implies numerous severe storms. Damaging winds will be the main concern, with isolated tornadoes and large hail possible.
One to more than two inches of rain could fall from northwest Arkansas into southwest Missouri overnight and into Wednesday. Farther south, half inch to inch plus amounts are possible in parts of central/southern Arkansas, mainly during the afternoon and early evening.
