Showers and thunderstorms will begin to move into Arkansas later this afternoon and evening. A few of these storms could become strong to severe, mainly affecting northwest portions of Arkansas.
A slight risk of strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible on Tuesday as a strong storm system moves through the region. Large hail is expected to be the primary hazard followed by damaging straight-line winds.
The pattern will become unsettled late today through late Tuesday night. The greatest rain chances will be on Tuesday associated with the approach and passage of a cold front.
