FOR THE SECOND TIME IN THE LAST FEW WEEKS...A TROPICAL SYSTEM MOVED OVER
ARKANSAS. IKE ENTERED ARKANSAS AS A TROPICAL STORM ON SATURDAY EVENING...AND
EXITED THE STATE AS A DEPRESSION ON SUNDAY MORNING. THE STORM PRODUCED SEVERAL
APPARENT TORNADOES...ALONG WITH HIGH WINDS AND HEAVY RAINFALL. BELOW IS A
PRELIMINARY SUMMARY OF RAINFALL...HIGHEST WIND GUSTS AND LOWEST PRESSURES
PRODUCED BY IKE AND ITS REMNANTS. THESE DATA ARE PRELIMINARY AND ARE SUBJECT
TO REVISION ONCE QUALITY CONTROLLED BY THE NATIONAL CLIMATIC DATA CENTER.

REMNANTS OF HURRICANE DANNY MOVED ACROSS A SMALL PORTION OF SOUTHEAST
ARKANSAS ON AUGUST 16TH. THE REMNANTS OF HURRICANE ELENA MOVED ACROSS
THE WESTERN PORTION OF ARKANSAS A FEW WEEKS LATER ON SEPTEMBER 4TH.
