No hazardous weather is expected across the Mid-South today. However, strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible Tuesday and Wednesday. The severe weather threat on Tuesday afternoon is conditional on storms develop ahead of the cold front. The potential for severe weather will increase Tuesday night through Wednesday afternoon as the cold front moves across the Mid-South. The greatest threat for severe weather on Tuesday night will be over northeast Arkansas, the Missouri Bootheel, and extreme western Tennessee. Wednesday's severe potential will include mainly west Tennessee and north Mississippi. The primary hazards will be large hail and damaging winds. A few tornadoes will be possible as well.
