Severe weather will be possible across most of the Mid-South, but will be most likely north of Interstate 40. Additional severe thunderstorms are possible Saturday night into Sunday. Large hail and damaging winds will be the primary threats for any thunderstorms that reach severe limits. Showers and thunderstorms are expected to produce heavy rainfall across portions of the Mid-South Friday night into the weekend. A Flash Flood Watch has been issued for East and Northeast Arkansas, the Missouri Bootheel, and far Northwest Tennessee. Heavy rainfall may lead to flash flooding and river flooding as rainfall totals may reach 3-7 inches with localized higher amounts possible, especially over northeast Arkansas.
