Wednesday through next Monday: There is an enhanced risk for severe thunderstorms across portions of eastern Arkansas Wednesday evening with a slight risk extending across the remainder of northeast Arkansas, the Missouri Bootheel, far west Tennessee, and northwest Mississippi through Wednesday night. Damaging winds, large hail, and a few tornadoes are possible. An enhanced risk for severe thunderstorms extends across much of the Mid South on Thursday. Severe thunderstorms with damaging winds, large hail, and a few tornadoes are expected with the greatest threat during the afternoon and early evening.
