Morning showers and a few thunderstorms along and offshore the Atlantic and Gulf coast beaches will transition to inland showers and thunderstorms over interior sections of the peninsula by midday and afternoon. Heat index will reach 103-105 over the Everglades and 98-103 elsewhere.
A few showers and a few thunderstorms will affect the beaches of southern Florida mainly this morning, otherwise fairly good beach weather is expected today. Low risk of rip currents with UV index in the extreme category.
Evening showers and thunderstorms over the Everglades will dissipate by midnight. Coastal showers and isolated thunderstorms will occasionally affect the east coast metro areas.
A few morning showers or thundestorms coastal areas with afternoon showers and thunderstorms over the interior. Max heat index values will reach 100-105 over most of South Florida.
Few evening showers and thunderstorms northern interior, otherwise dry conditions are expected. Low temperatures will range from around 70 degrees Lake Okeechobee to around 80 degrees Miami-Fort Lauderdale metropolitan area and The Everglades.
