Showers and thunderstorms will develop across South Florida today as low pressure approaches the Florida peninsula from the Gulf of Mexico. An abundance of cloud cover is expected today with temperatures remaining in the mid to upper 70s. If planning on going to the beach, there is a high risk of rip currents along the Atlantic beaches today and high chance of showers and storms developing throughout the day.
As low pressure moves across South Florida, chances of rain will transition into the east coast and Atlantic waters this evening into tonight. Moisture wrap around the low will enhance showers into the northern counties early Wednesday morning. Temperatures will remain in the mid to low 60s east coast metro and upper 50s out west.
