Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms will move into southeast Mississippi and southwest Alabama late tonight, and will gradually progress eastward toward the I-65 corridor through the overnight and very early Thursday morning hours. Isolated storms will have the potential of becoming severe with localized damaging straight line winds and possibly marginally severe hail.
Another chance for strong to severe storms late in the weekend. All severe hazards including strong winds, large hail and tornadoes are possible. Check back frequently for updates as this event approaches.
There is a high risk of rip currents across the Alabama and Northwest Florida beaches through Thursday morning.
