A line of severe storms will move into the region late this evening into early Saturday morning. The main threat from these storms will be damaging winds and hail up to the size of quarters. Additionally, an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out. Timing is still uncertain, but it presently appears the best window for storms is from roughly 10 pm This evening to 5 am Saturday morning. Locations north of I-40 and west of I-75 will be most at risk.
It's never the wrong time to be thinking about severe weather safety. Know where you will go when a warning is issued.
A line of severe storms will move into the Plateau late Friday night into early Saturday morning. Damaging winds and hail up to the size of quarters will be the main threat but an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out. The highest risk for severe weather will be north of I-40 and west of I-75. The main timeframe will be from 10 pm Friday night through 5 am Saturday.
Remember, If you hear thunder, you're close enough to be hit! Make the right (and safe choice) -- when thunder roars, move indoors!
