The remnants of Cindy will continue to affect the area through tonight bringing periods of heavy rain and a slight risk for thunderstorms producing damaging winds and a few weak tornadoes.
Rainfall forecast through Saturday morning as the remnants of Cindy move through the area. The threat for area wide flooding has decreased, however localized heavy rain in showers and storms could still lead to flash flooding. This is particularly true across the Cumberland Plateau counties where rainfall totals in excess of one inch have already been recorded with this system.
