A cold front will bring the potential of severe thunderstorms across the Plateau and southeast Tennessee late Thursday and Thursday night. Damaging winds and hail will be the main concern, but isolated tornadoes are possible.
A High Wind Watch is in effect for the far east Tennessee Mountains and Foothills for late Thursday through early Friday morning.
Locally heavy rainfall will be possible with storms that move through on Thursday night. The greatest threat for flooding will be for areas west of I-75.
