Winds will increase from the SW throughout the day on Wednesday ahead of a cold front. This will promote on last mild day in the 60s before a much colder air mass arrives later this week.
A series of cold fronts will usher in much colder air mass into the Southern Appalachians and Tennessee Valley late this week. High temperatures will drop into the 30s and 40s by the weekend, with low temperatures in the 20s. Another stronger shot of colder air will arrive on Monday, knocking highs into the 30s and lows in the teens to lower 20s.
