A frontal boundary will approach southwest Virginia and northern Tennessee late Sunday afternoon and evening. This boundary will collide with the moist and unstable air-mass across the region to produce scattered thunderstorms. Some of these storms may become strong to severe with the main concern being damaging winds, heavy rains, and hail up to Quarter size.
Scattered storms possible across southwest Virginia and northeast Tennessee tonight. Mostly clear and hazy south. Lows in the lower and middle 70s most locations.
This is to help spread awareness about the dangers of leaving a child, and even a pet, in a closed vehicle during a warm sunny day. Please spread the word: Beat the Heat, Check the Back Seat !!!
Practice Heat Safety. Stay hydrated and take frequent breaks in the shade as often as possible.
