There is a risk of strong to possibly severe thunderstorms late this afternoon and evening. Isolated damaging winds and small hail are possible with the stronger storms. The main risk is across the Plateau, central/southern Tennessee Valley and southwest North Carolina.
A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for part of our area until 11 PM EDT!
