A flash flood watch is in effect for Today, and across southwest Virginia, northeast Tennessee and Smoky Mountains through Tonight. Periods of showers and thunderstorms will move across the region with locally heavy rainfall expected. Localized flash flooding is possible.
A flash flood watch is in effect through Sunday evening. Make sure you know how to stay safe! Move to higher ground, avoid driving into water, and have a way to get warning and weather information!
Rainfall totals today and tonight will vary from 1 to 3 inches with locally heavier amounts in excess of 4 inches. The heavy rains may produce localized flash flooding.
A wet and cool day is in store today. Highs in the 50s to lower 60s south. Bring an umbrella when venturing outside.
