Due to the widespread eclipse viewing across the region this afternoon and many outside venues, heat exposure and exhaustion will be a concern. Heat indices this afternoon will climb into the lower and middle 90s across much of the area. Drink plenty of liquids and take frequent breaks in shaded areas as often as possible. The mostly sunny sky will also allow for high ultraviolet radiation conditions today. The potential of sunburn is high so wear sunscreen and hat to protect yourself from the suns rays.
The Eclipse Day forecast for Today. Mostly sunny sky with highs in the upper 80s and lower 90s will be the rule. Heat indices will climb to 90 to 95 degrees most locations.
