Here are the instructions for the field to follow when they download the file: A. For the initial OB-8.1 install, the pre-installation, installation, and localization process should take care of everything for you. B. Do this procedure when instructed to do so because a GOES satellite has been replaced. 1. Download the files 'GOESImagerInfo.txt' and 'satSpecificInfo.txt' from the noaa1 server. Place the files in directory '/data/fxa/nationalData/'. 2. On px1 as user 'fxa', run the script '/awips/fxa/bin/stopFMprocessor'. 3. On dx3 as user 'fxa', run the script '/awips/fxa/bin/stopIngest.dx3'. 4. On each lx workstation, a. shut down all D-2Ds. b. run localization with the '-tables' option. 5. On dx3 as user 'fxa', run the script '/awips/fxa/bin/startIngest.dx3'. 6. On px1 as user 'fxa', run the script '/awips/fxa/bin/startFMprocessor'. Done! You should verify that satellite imagery is being properly decoded, the D-2D satellite menu is correct (the fifth entry should be what's appropriate for the GOES satellite that your site uses), and that the Fog Monitor is working properly.
