Comment Policy
The purpose of this page is to collect input to the National Weather Service’s strategic plan. All organizations and individuals are invited to participate. Our Customers and Partners are vital to our ability to perform our mission of protecting lives and property and enhancing the economy. Your insights into the challenges and opportunities facing us as a community offer a unique perspective we want to capture as we plan for the future.
This public web page and opportunity to provide input is one way the National Weather Service is making government more transparent in keeping with President Barack Obama’s technology agenda to “Create a Transparent and Connected Democracy.” The agenda is aimed at opening up government to its citizens by using technologies “to create a new level of transparency, accountability, and participation for America's citizens,” WhiteHouse.gov.

As we receive comments and input we will post them to this web page. As is tradition online, comments should follow community standards for politeness. This page is moderated by the NWS Office of Communications.
All comments will be thoroughly analyzed for incorporation into the NWS Strategic Plan. Some comments will be posted on this web page as a way to share knowledge and information within our community.
For privacy reasons, we will not include any contact information such as phone numbers or email addresses in any posted comments. If you choose to provide identifying (name, title, and organization) information (optional) in your comments we may include them in the posted comments section of this web page.
