Hydrologic Operations & Service Improvement Process (HOSIP)

HOSIP is OHD’s Science Infusion & Systems Engineering Process. This process is HL leadership’s adaptation of the NWS Operations & Service Improvement Process (OSIP). (OSIP is NWS implementation of the NOAA-mandated requirements management process).

HOSIP involves requirement-based research, analysis, & development, and it supports all Hydrology Laboratory research & development. Complying with OSIP and NOAA mandates, HOSIP is a proactive measure to influence OSIP definition. Through HOSIP, HL leadership hopes to encourage innovative research and architecture consistency.

This website serves as a dynamic online repository of HOSIP-related documents. Use the navigation menu on the left to access information about individual HL projects & initiatives, as well as background information concerning HOSIP.
