The National Weather Service (NWS) will issue a Required Monthly Test (RMT) for distribution through the Emergency Alert System (EAS) and a Special Weather Statement for distribution through all NWS communication systems. This provides everyone with an opportunity to test the communication systems they use to receive NWS warnings.
