A 25 Year Length
of Service Award was presented to Lloyd and Eddie Chapman of Lake Providence,
LA, by Winston Gilmore, HMT NWS,
Jackson, MS. The Chapman brothers started monitoring the precipitation
and temperature at Chapman's Drug Store in Lake Providence in 1978.
NWS presented Cordell
Conley, center, of Lewisville with his 25 Year Length of Service Award. Cordell
has faithfully maintained a Fisher-Porter recording rain gage for 25 years.
His care for the equipment as well as his timeliness is unsurpassed.

Jim South
and Tom Graham received a 25 Year Length of Service Institutional award for
the Cookeville, TN, WasteWater Treatment Plant. Jim and Tom are two of the
main observers at the Water Treatment Plant. The award was presented by NWS
Nashville, TN. 
Gladys H. Davis
of Elliott, MS, retired after reaching 25 years as a Cooperative
Observer for NWS. Her Service Award was presented by Mark
