LA, by Winston Gilmore, HMT NWS,
Jackson, MS. The Chapman brothers started monitoring the precipitation
and temperature at Chapman's Drug Store in Lake Providence in 1978. |
NWS presented Cordell
Conley, center, of Lewisville with his 25 Year Length of Service Award. Cordell
has faithfully maintained a Fisher-Porter recording rain gage for 25 years.
His care for the equipment as well as his timeliness is unsurpassed.
