ABSTRACT

This bulletin, written by Morris A. Bender, Isaac Ginis, Timothy P. Marchok and Robert E. Tuleya, describes the changes to the GFDL Hurricane Prediction System has provided operational guidance for forecasters. The major improvements center on the coupling of the forecast model with a high-resolution version of the Princeton Ocean Model.
