An active springtime weather pattern is expected over the next seven days. A strong storm system will bring windy conditions, Critical wildfire danger, and chances for strong to severe thunderstorms on Friday. Another system may bring another chance for severe thunderstorms on Sunday, along with Near Critical fire conditions in western north Texas.
A few severe storms will be possible through this afternoon, mainly over the eastern half of Oklahoma. If severe storms occur, damaging winds would likely be the main hazard.
It appears that the most likely time for severe storms today will be through 4 pm.
Severe thunderstorms are possible on Sunday when another storm system quickly moves through the Plains.
