Severe Thunderstorms Likely Across the Ozarks and Lower Ohio Valley

Severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind gusts, large hail, and a few tornadoes, are likely to develop this afternoon from parts of the lower Ohio Valley into the southern Plains. Local Weather History For April 18th...
On this date back in 1959, a severe thunderstorm moved southeast
across the Chattanooga area, dumping 4 inches of rain in 30 minutes,
along with hail up to an inch in diameter, which piled up over a foot
deep in bar ditches. Hail up to one and one-half inches in diameter
also caused roof damage across south Oklahoma City.
