Very warm temperatures and low humidities will lead to elevated fire danger in portions of western Oklahoma and western north Texas.
Critical to Extreme Fire Danger expected on Thursday, especially across western north Texas and western Oklahoma. All outdoor burning and activities that could start fires are strongly discouraged.
Extremely Critical wildfire conditions will be possible Thursday across portions of western Oklahoma and far western north Texas.
Very warm February weather will persist through Thursday, before a brief cool down for Friday and the weekend occurs. Temperatures will rebound to well above average next week.
