Strong winds, colder temperatures, and wintry precipitation expected from the Northeast to New England

A strong cold front and low pressure system will bring strong winds with gusts over 50 mph possible across much of the Middle Atlantic, Northeast, and New England into Sunday night. The strong winds could knock down trees & power lines, and lead to scattered power outages. Dry conditions will allow for high wildfire potential today, especially this afternoon in far western Oklahoma and far western north Texas where southwest surface winds of 10 to 15 mph are expected.
Elevated wildfire dangers are possible across parts of Oklahoma and north Texas Sunday and Monday afternoons due to dry and breezy weather.
Dry weather is expected to continue over the next seven days, including Thanksgiving Day. Overall, temperatures are forecast to be near average for the latter half of November.
