A few severe thunderstorms are possible on Tuesday evening, posing a risk for damaging winds and large hail.

The severe weather risk is marginal, but could come in two rounds. The first round could be from sunrise Wednesday morning to around 11 AM, and the second round from around 9 PM overnight through sunrise Thursday morning.

Storms are expected to form in the Oklahoma and Texas panhandle late Thursday afternoon and spread east into Oklahoma and north Texas during the evening hours. Storms will continue to spread east overnight with a continuing potential of severe weather. The main threat will be large hail and damaging winds, but there is the potential of tornadoes as well.

There is a slight risk of severe weather across the entire area on Saturday. Damaging wind gusts, large hail and tornadoes are all possible.

Elevated fire weather conditions with gusty winds and low humidity are expected Thurday and Friday afternoons in western Oklahoma and western north Texas, with near-critical conditions most likely in northwest and west central Oklahoma.

Near or above-average temperatures are expected over the next week, with the exception of Wednesday which will be cooler in many areas with clouds and scattered showers and storms.
