Wind Gusts

The map below is a collection of peak wind gusts taken from ASOS (Automated Surface Observing System) sites and Oklahoma/West Texas Mesonet sites from the winter storm on February 8-9, 2011. Several sites had incomplete records during the event. Most peak wind gusts occurred during the evening hours of February 8th in the western portion of the region, while the eastern areas had peak wind gusts on February 9th.
