Heavy Snow from the Wasatch to the Upper Midwest

A strong weather system will bring heavy snow, gusty winds, and difficult travel conditions to a broad area from the Great Basin to the Upper Midwest. Farther south, strong winds and dry conditions is increasing the wildfire threat. Unusual warmth from the Ohio Valley to the Mid-Atlantic continues. SKYWARNTM training sessions are mostly offered in the Spring, but are offered at other times of the year. These sessions are open to the public. A ham radio license, although helpful, is not a requirement of the Skywarn Spotter Program. You can attend out of county training sessions.  Certifications can be found here for those who have taken the courses.
