...Updated Saturday Morning...

Dry fuels, strong winds and low relative humidities will result in high fire danger this afternoon and early this evening in the San Luis Valley, the I-25 corridor from the Colorado Springs area to the New Mexico border and across Crowley and Otero counties. As a result, a Red Flag Warning is in effect for these locations.  There could also be some spotty Red Flag conditions over western Kiowa county and in portions of Bent county.  Any fires that occur will have the potential to grow and spread rapidly.  All outdoor burning and other activities that could accidentally start a fire should be postponed until another day, as very strong winds across southeast and south central Colorado today will result in dangerous conditions.
