BUFKIT is a forecast profile visualization and analysis tool kit developed by the
staff at the National Weather Service (NWS) office in Buffalo and the Warning Decision
Training Branch (WDTB) in Norman, OK. BUFKIT is used in the public, private, and
educational meteorological sectors in both the US and Canada. BUFKIT is available
to anyone who is interested in the analysis of forecast hourly profiles.
What's New with Bufkit
We are now providing Bufkit forecasts from the RAP and the SREF for
KGSB (Goldsboro NC), KOAJ (Jacksonville NC), and KPGV (Greenville NC).
We've updated the "BufGet" for new locations and guidance. The profile which allows users to quickly and efficiently
download Bufkit data from a GUI. The "BufGet" Profile is configurable and can be edited based on your needs. The NWS Raleigh
"BufGet" Profile, noted as "R" for RAH is setup to download a handful of Bufkit profiles for central NC for the
RAP, NAM, GFS3, SREF, NAM4KM, ARW, tRAP, tNAM, and tGFS3. You can download the NWS Raleigh
