The northern part of a large winter storm pushing across the Rockies produced significant snow and blowing snow over central and southern Wyoming on Monday, February 1st. The storm lasted through Monday night before tapering off Tuesday morning. Sweetwater County and the Casper area were the hardest hit.  Snowfall amounts ranged from 6 to 12 inches with isolated higher amounts in those areas with 3 to 4 feet deep drifts.  This caused multiple roads to be closed for an extended period of time.
