WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM EST WEDNESDAY

.DISCUSSION...

A strong cold front will move east across the area this afternoon
with gusty northwest winds and much colder air moving in behind
it. The winds will be gusting as high as 40 to 55 mph, mainly in
the mountains. Will see accumulating snow showers across the
western slopes from West Virginia, to the North Carolina
mountains. Weak high pressure builds in by Wednesday afternoon
causing winds to weaken. Another weaker clipper moves in by late
Wednesday night into Thursday.

Overall, below normal temperatures will keep fire danger low
through the end of the week.
