Fire Weather Planning Forecast for SW VA...SE WV and NW NC
National Weather Service Blacksburg VA
115 PM EST Mon Dec 18 2017

.DISCUSSION...

Variably cloudy skies are expected through today, with the
greatest cloud cover over parts of southeast West Virginia. Periods of
drizzle will be possible in these cloudier areas. More sun and milder
temperatures are expected in the Piedmont and part of the New River
Valley, but relative humidities will be no lower than 55 percent.
Light west winds in the valleys with gusts of 15 to 25 mph at the
ridge tops.

Warmer temperatures expected Tuesday but similar relative
humidities to Monday are anticipated. A frontal system will
increase clouds and offer the next chance for rain. Best chance
for wetting rains would be along and south of Route 460. Cool
wedge conditions then return for the rest of the workweek.

Fire weather concerns will be low through the next five days.
