Cooler today with highs from the upper 60s north of I-20 to the mid 70s along the I-10 corridor. There is a chance for showers and thunderstorms across the entire area, with chances diminishing during the afternoon hours, especially north of a Sterling City to Brownwood line.
After a cool start to the week, temperatures will warm well into the 90s by Thursday, and remain hot through the end of the week. Thunderstorm chances will re-enter the forecast by Friday, and continue through Sunday.
For locations in and near: San Saba, Coleman, Brownwood, Voss, Valera, Indian Creek, Fisk, Echo, Eula, Clyde, Harkeyville: Showers and thunderstorms from Putnam to Cross Plains to Coleman and Cross Cut and May at 807 AM will move southeast at 30 mph. Brownwood will likely see storms between 845 AM and 10 AM. Rainfall amounts up to 1/4 inch and gusty winds to 40 mph are likely.
