Hot and humid conditions are expected today, with highs this afternoon in the mid to upper 90s. With the arrival of a weak upper level disturbance, isolated to scattered thunderstorms are expected mainly this afternoon through early tonight, across roughly the northwestern half of West Central Texas. A few strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible with large hail, damaging winds and dangerous lightning.
Near record high temperatures are possible on Wednesday, with temperatures approaching the 100 degree mark in some locations. By late afternoon, a few storms may develop and continue into the evening hours. Gusty winds will be possible.
A little cooler next week, with an increasing chance for rainfall.
