A flash flood watch is in effect until 6 PM on Thursday. A passing storm system will interact with a slow moving cold front across the region and may cause several rounds of heavy rainfall to occur leading to flash flooding. Please check back later for future updates.
Very heavy rainfall expected this week mainly west of a line from Haskell to Abilene to Junction. This will likely result in flooding of urban areas, low water crossings, creeks and streams across the region. Remember Turn Around Don't Drown when you come to a flooded road. Also, if you live near a river or creek, be prepared to seek high ground.
Scattered to numerous showers and a few thunderstorms will increase across the area through tonight. Locally heavy rainfall is possible, which may lead to minor flooding.
