Gusty southwest winds, warm temperatures, and dry air will result in another day of elevated to near critical fire weather conditions. Otherwise, look for partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies, and dry weather today. Then, south winds, and muggy overnight conditions with lows in the 60s.
A dryline will advance into eastern and southeastern parts of West Central Texas on Friday, and temperatures will be hot during the afternoon. Skies will be mostly sunny. People who will be working or spending time outdoors will want to stay hydrated.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible across West Central Texas Friday night, Saturday and Saturday night. An upper level storm system will approach from New Mexico, and will interact with a couple of frontal boundaries.
