An Enhanced risk of severe thunderstorms will exist Tuesday and Tuesday night across portions of far eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas. One round of severe thunderstorms will be possible during the afternoon hours along and east of a Hugo to Miami line. A second round will likely accompany a cold front late Tuesday evening into early Wednesday morning. Large hail and damaging winds will be the primary threats, although an isolated tornado will also be possible with any afternoon thunderstorms.
Scattered thunderstorms are expected to continue tonight, mainly across far eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas, as a warm front lifts north and a low level jet increases. Storms are expected to remain elevated in nature, but a few stronger cells may produce hail up to quarter size.
