NWS Hazard Simplification Project - Survey Available Through September 7, 2018

The NWS is collecting comments on a proposed consolidation (i.e., reduce the number) and reformatting (i.e., simplified product text) of flood-based Watches, Warnings and Advisories (WWA) for River Flood, Areal Flood, Coastal Flood, and Lakeshore Flood products through September 7, 2018. Based on feedback received, NWS may implement some or all of the proposals in early 2020. Please provide us with your comments on this proposed change! A listing of the specific proposals, and examples of the proposed consolidated and reformatted messages, are contained in this product description document. If you have any questions, please contact melissa.smith@noaa.gov.
