Subject:     Station Duty Manual

Reference:    WSOM Chapter A-13, TM 74-28, dated December 30, 1974

    The following new paragraph is added on page 6 to the reference chapter.

4.    Retention.     National Weather Service field offices should maintain a historical SDM file and retain all superseded and/or cancelled portions of the SDM and any cancelled temporary operational instructions for a minimum of 5 years from the date of cancellation. Each page of the SDM must be dated to show the date on which the instructions came into effect. The historical file should show on what date the instructions were cancelled or otherwise superseded.

    This statement will be incorporated in Chapter A-13 when updated.
