Plentiful high clouds will keep temperatures up compared to last night's lows.
Well above normal temperatures will return on Thursday. A few locations may reach record high tempeatures for the date.
Showers and perhaps a few thunderstorms will return to northwest New Mexico on Friday. Snow will be relegated to the highest peaks. Meanwhile, very warm temperatures and critical fire weather conditions will return to eastern New Mexico. Record high temperatures will be possible for a few locations. Last but not least, strong winds will return area wide.
