Another relatively strong backdoor cold front will move into eastern New Mexico from the northeast today. Expect gusty north and northeast winds with gusts as high as 45 mph possible for the northeast quarter of the state.
Modest moisture will seep into western New Mexico, leading to a few showers and thunderstorms. Elsewhere, mid to high level clouds will be observed with temperatures running near to slightly below average.
Moisture will continue to increase into Saturday, leading to isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms across much of central New Mexico.
